Soft Opening of Kirby Ice House

We had a great time celebrating the Grand Opening of Kirby Ice House in The Woodlands. What a great place to watch a sports game, celebrate a birthday, hang out before a concert at The Woodlands Mitchell Pavilion, or host a corporate work event! The amount of reasons to hang out here are endless.

The drinks are top notch, they have 60 beers on tap, the atmosphere is fun, they even have GREAT quality food trucks! The Shannon Cox Team highly recommends trying out Kirbys. This place will easily become one of your favorite spots in The Woodlands!

Soft Opening of Clubhouse Cigar Bar

Our team enjoyed the soft opening of Clubhouse Cigar Bar in The Woodlands (near Creekside). This venue is a great hangout if you enjoy a cigar and cocktails. They have a great selection of cigars, drinks and the atmosphere is perfect with the comfortable chairs, televisions to watch sports games, and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable on their products. We highly recommend!

Get to Know Shannon Cox & The Shannon Cox Team

If you live in Carlton Woods, you have likely heard the name Shannon Cox. Shannon is a residential luxury REALTOR® here in The Woodlands. She has helped many families moving in and out of Carlton Woods. Shannon is also the vice president of the Carlton Woods Association Board of Directors, volunteering a significant amount of her time on issues involving the Carlton Woods Nicklaus community. And finally, Shannon Cox is a club member, conducting many of her team meetings and events at the club. You may see her in the club on a Friday night having dinner or in the club weekdays conducting meetings or training sessions with her team. The Shannon Cox Team is one of the top-producing luxury real estate teams in The Woodlands.

Shannon and her husband, Raleigh, moved to The Woodlands, Texas, in 2016. Her husband, Raleigh, is a native Houstonian. Shannon was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. After graduating from LSU, Shannon moved to Houston, and she never looked back. She has always considered herself to be “half Texan, half Cajun,” spending more years of her life in Texas than any other place. Shannon spent over 20-plus years in the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of roles all over the nation. Those years of experience in sales, marketing, leadership, contract negotiations and lobbying helped her become a top name in the luxury real estate market.

Shannon and her husband, Raleigh, and their boys, Raleigh and Ronan, have lived in at least nine states, every coast, every time zone and in all sorts of climates. Shannon’s boys were born in Bellevue, WA, a suburb outside of Seattle. The boys attended elementary school in Breckenridge, CO. And the family has also lived in Laguna Beach, CA; Wilmington, DE; Chicago and Denver, amongst other cities across the nation. For many of those moves, the two family mastiffs, Moose and Rocco, were along for the ride. Most of those were corporate moves with the pharmaceutical industry, where both Shannon and Raleigh worked for many years. Each move came with a new REALTOR®. And a new experience for Shannon to draw on when she decided to get licensed to become a REALTOR® herself.

Shannon quickly became a rising star in The Woodlands. In her first year in real estate, she was awarded the Rookie of the Year, Rising Star in Real Estate and was a top producing agent. That was no easy task, given that was the year Hurricane Harvey hit and devastated much of the city.

Fast forward to 2022… Shannon created The Shannon Cox Team and was recently inducted into the REMAX Hall of Fame. She has achieved many milestones in real estate and is now in the top 1% of all REALTORS® in HAR. In 2021, she became licensed to transact in the Austin area (ABOR), helping many current clients find second homes in Austin and the surrounding area. She is an award-winning, top-producing agent and prides herself on being a five-star REALTOR®. Many of her clients in Carlton Woods are physicians; not surprising with her previous career connections. She also launched her website, www.theshannoncoxteam.com.

While every REALTOR® has different motivations for wanting to get licensed. For Shannon, it was her personal experiences with REALTORS®, having lived all over the nation. She felt the REALTOR® could make such a huge difference in the moving experience. “I had some terrible REALTORS® through the years,’ said Shannon, “and I wanted to be the agent people felt looked out for and listened to them. I wanted to provide exceptional service and partner with people to find homes they loved.” Shannon also provides more of the “boutique experience.’” “My team is small and customer-focused. I am involved with every single client that works with my team. I don’t pass my clients to other team members. If you work with my team, you will work with me.”

In early 2022, Shannon met a licensed agent with so many creative talents that she developed a role specifically for her. Megan Bruney is the director of marketing and social media. Megan has elevated the brand’s social media presence and has been an amazing addition to the team. Megan is also a licensed agent, a Texas notary and a mom of baby Braxton, age 2.
